태양이
낮게 뜨는
계절,
돌아보면
다들 떠나갔구나,
제 있을 꽃자리
제 있을 잎자리
빈들을 지키는 건
갈대뿐이다.
상강(霜降).
서릿발 차가운
칼날 앞에서
꽃은 꽃끼리,
잎은 잎끼리
맨땅에 스스로
목숨을 던지지만
갈대는 호올로
빈 하늘을 우러러
시대를 통곡한다.
시들어
썩기보다
말라 부서지기를
택하는 그의
인동(忍冬),
갈대는
목숨들이
가장 낮은 땅을
찾아
몸을
눕힐 때
오히려
하늘을 향해
선다.
해를 받든다.
