누가
아무도 없는
들판에 측백나무 울타리
세워놓았나
안쪽도
바깥도 없는
그 울타리 드나들며
나는 안쪽에서 바깥을,
또 바깥에서 안쪽을
넘겨보거나
내다보곤
했다
또 아주
오래전 허물어진
옛집을 수습해서
울타리에 기대
놓았다
그럴 때면
앞마당과 뒤란이
저희들끼리 순서를
정하곤
하였다
집을
품지 않은
울타리는 울타리가
아니어서
벌판으로
몇 천리 가면
기차가 떠나는
간이역이
있고
또
어느
쪽에서
몇 시간 동안
그 기차를 타고가면
어리둥절할
양떼들이

양들에게

물으면
예전
